Week of 4-13-15 - GEOLOGIC HISTORY OF NC
Content Objective (EEn.2.1.1):
Summarize the major events in the geologic history of North Carolina and the southeastern United States. Explain how current geologic landforms developed such as Appalachian Mountains, fall zone, shorelines, barrier islands, valleys, river basins, etc. using the geologic time scale.
1. Read The Natural History of NC with a partner
2. Complete 'Worksheet: How Do Scientists Know?' together, but on your own copy
3. Find Ms. C, show her your work, and select your geologic time period
4. Research your period further by using the first website and exploring these links:

- At least one other interesting fact about your time period from your research
This project is worth 50 points:
- each of the above criteria is worth 10 points (Quality points based on your EFFORT)
- participation is worth 10 points (Quality points based on my OBSERVATIONS)
